The Dwight and David Team

Born in a log cabin in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, you won't find a more personable, intelligent and hard-working agent. David graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and is a magna cum laude alum and Phi Beta Kappa scholar of Duke University. Originally trained as a Graphic Designer, and having been a professional web designer for five years, David knows marketing and technology and its importance to the Real Estate Industry.

He has almost 12 years of real estate experience, including acquisition and sale for himself and residential and commercial clients, renovation and development projects, staging, flipping and legal issues. With five years of professional web design and photography experience to boot, he brings a unique, personal marketing perspective to sellers and the first-hand knowledge necessary for buyers.

Owning as many as 20 rental properties at one time, David understands the needs of commercial and landlord clients, and has direct knowledge of local laws and processes necessary to operate a successful rental housing endeavor. In DC, rental housing laws are the toughest in the nation for landlords, and David knows the pitfalls and shortcuts to obey the law and operate a business efficiently and effectively.

David is certified as a Coldwell Banker e-Agent, and is authorized for Commercial, Residential and Rental Real Estate transactions. He is licensed to practice Real Estate in Washington, DC, as well as Maryland and Virginia.

In addition to David's real estate accomplishments, he also finds time to volunteer for the Whitman-Walker Clinic, Food & Friends, Cherry and other local charities. He loves to cook, is still in training for his private pilot's license and has recently taken on oil painting as a hobby, completing several works that have been displayed in local art shows.

Dwight was born and raised in Houston, TX, but after moving to DC in 1992, he considers the DC area his home. He brought with him that friendly, reliable southern attitude.

Dwight has experience as a graphic artist an moved up to office management within four years. With a passion for finding solutions to business problems and helping people along the way, Dwight soon realized Real Estate was the perfect opportunity to do both. A resident of DC for over 15 years, he has proven himself to be a knowledgeable, competent agent for buyers and sellers in all areas of the region and in all aspects of the business.

Dwight is licensed to practice Real Estate in Washington, DC as well as Maryland and Virginia.

In addition to his real estate career, Dwight enjoys oil painting and singing, cooking and gardening in his Dupont Circle home. Studying with David at the Vander Zee school of painting in Alexandria, Virginia, Dwight has also completed several oil paintings that have been shown locally.

A southern belle at heart, Christie received her formal education in Jacksonville, Florida. Upon graduating from the University of North Florida in 2006, she moved to Arlington, VA and started a career in federal management consulting.
For over 5 years, Christie was a trusted advisor to leadership personnel at the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Labor. From expert business analysis services to strategic planning, clients relied on Christie’s counsel to help improve performance and cut costs.

Leveraging her mission-focused consulting background, Christie is able to strategically advise her clients on buying/selling options for either their personal residences or investment properties. Christie specializes in residential real estate in Virginia. She currently resides in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, VA with her fiancé and goldendoodle Madison. In her spare time, Christie enjoys bicycling along the Mount Vernon Trail, exploring local wineries, and watching her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

The northerner of the group, Garrett was born and raised in Saratoga Springs, New York. He received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Connecticut in Storrs, and is a proud UConn Huskies fan.

Garrett worked in higher education for over six years, specializing in recruitment and retention of students. He developed a discriminating eye for quality and a keen analytical intellect in his years as an Admissions Counselor, traveling the country for recruitment and deciding on applications for admission.

Garrett is here to help educate and negotiate for his clients. His charismatic personality paired with a strong abilities to negotiate makes him a valuable asset to the Dwight and David Team.

Garrett specializes in serving clients in DC, and is eager to help assist you in the process of buying your home. With his spare time, Garrett enjoys cooking, meeting new people and sharing his booming laugh with the company of his friends and a fine glass of wine, especially while entertaining in his Mt.
